The front office is open from 7:15 am - 3:15 pm. During dismissal, we suspend phone and doorbell service from 1:45 - 2:20 so we can safely move our 1,000 plus students from school to their proper dismissal locations.
All visitors must sign in at the front office and wear a Visitor Badge. At the end of your visit, please make sure to check out.
All afternoon transportation changes must be made in writing on our Transportation Change Form. All changes must be approved by 10:00 am in the front office. There is only one exception: we can take a phone call to keep a student in our After School Program.
Early Student Check-Out
If you need to check your student out early, please report to the front office by 1:45 pm. Be sure to bring a picture ID!
Only deliveries for essential items that impact health, safety, or birthdays will be made one time daily at 10:00 am. These items include lunches, glasses, medication to the clinic, or ready-to-distribute edible birthday treats. Students who forget homework or water bottles will need to accept the natural consequence.
Student Phone Calls Home
Classroom teachers will issue a phone pass for students to use the office phone to clarify questions regarding afternoon transportation. Students should not call home to ask for a forgotten assignment or supplies.
We have many outlets of communication that will hopefully help you stay connected with Mt. Bethel with official word from the school regarding events and important information.
Phone Numbers: We have become screeners of phone calls on our cell phones. Please program the following numbers in your phone as MT. BETHEL so you don't hesitate to answer:
Blackboard Connect Parent Portal: We communicate via email or text if there is a message (such as transportation issue, weather issue, etc.) that needs to be pushed to parents quickly. For student safety issues, we encourage you to remain subscribed to Blackboard.
School Website: We update frequently and strive to ensure current and valuable content. You can subscribe by scrolling to the bottom and entering your email address. About one or two times per month you will receive an email regarding events and important info!
Teacher Blogs: Teachers update their blogs at least twice monthly. Many have added a subscription feature!
PTA Communication: Our PTA does an incredible job of communicating through the weekly eMinder, the PTA Blog, The Bugle, a monthly publication, through the Membership ToolKit, and through Room Parents. Don't forget to LIKE the PTA Facebook Page!
Foundation Communication: Our Foundation does an exemplary job of communicating, as well! The Foundation maintains a blog, sends info through the weekly eBlast and monthly Bugle.
